The Gold Philharmonic was first minted by the Austrian Mint in Vienna in 1989. The Gold Philharmonic continues to be one of the world’s most coveted gold bullion coins. According to the World Gold Council, the Gold Vienna Philharmonic outsold all other gold coins worldwide in 1992, 1995, and 1996. Inspired by the world famous Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, this beautiful coin features Musikverein, the concert hall of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, on the obverse. A harmonious medley of orchestral instruments is depicted on the reverse. Crafted from .9999 fine gold, the coin’s face values are depicted in Austrian Schillings prior to December 31, 2001, and in Euros thereafter. Uncirculated condition, random dates of our choice.
