The American Gold Buffalo is my favorite gold coin. It is essentially the same design as the American buffalo nickel minted from 1913 to 1938, and one of my favorite coins to collect as a child growing up. Is also one of the few American gold coins that is pure 24k (.9999) gold as opposed the normal 22k (.9167) gold made by the American Mint.
