The Platinum Australian Platypus features Ian Rank Broadley’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse and a platypus on the reverse. This meticulously detailed coin serves as an outstanding representation of the lustrous properties of platinum, exemplified in the frosted, luminous finish. Each Platinum Australian Platypus contains 1 oz of .9995 fine platinum bearing a face value of $100 Australian dollars. Dates of our choice.

The 1 ounce Australian Platinum Platypus is one of the most amazing coins I have ever seen! The pictures don't do it justice and the reverse proof effect is simply stunning. Even better, the $79 premium over spot value was far and away the best price for platinum I've seen anywhere. If you want to add a little platinum to your portfolio, this is definitely the way to go.

Among the three major coins available in Platinum, this one is in my opinion the most desirable one. The quality of minting, packaging (protective and transparent air tight case) and premium over spot make it an excellent buy. I also like the fact that the main motive is a piece of nature and not a political or ideological symbol (like a dead politician). Of course, Goldmart is one of the best places to acquire this coin. Great customer service and great prices.

What an amazingly beautiful coin! The pictures don't come close to doing it justice and the reverse proof design is simply stunning when examined in hand.
The price of $74.99 over spot is extremely reasonable, especially when compared to other sites that charge "as low as" $99.99 over spot. -

The Australian Platypus coin is one of the most beautiful platinum coins on the market. Its overall quality in design as well as in execution is rivaled only by the platinum American Eagle coin in proof quality which comes at an extra premium. In comparison, the Platypus coin offers the quality of a proof coin at the much lower premium of a regular bullion coin. I also like the fact that the animal displayed (Platypus) is not a politically abused animal like the eagle. A much more modest and therefore more sympathetic coin design. The obverse of the coin displays Queen Elizabeth II which is the counterpart to lady Liberty prominently figuring on the American Eagle coin.
